Busselton Community Garden are a not for profit, incorporated body, who are in the process of constructing and managing a Community Garden, located in the Shire of Busselton, in Western Australia.

The purpose of the garden is to provide a place for people to come together and grow their own fruit and vegetables, using only organic methods.

By growing food locally – we’re saving the planet! But we’re not only about improving the local environment, the garden is also a great way to improve your social network and learn more about organic gardening.

Get involved

You can get involved in a variety of different ways:

Become a member of the community garden, this allows us to keep the gardens going and to build our register of helpers and supporters.

Single ($15) Family ($20) Senior ($10)

Volunteer days are held every Tuesday and Saturday mornings.  Come along and get helping, enjoy making new friends, share your knowledge or learn something new and stay for morning tea.

Busy Bee days are held every Tuesday and Saturday mornings.  Lend a hand with some digging, weeding or planting they’re lots of fun and a great way to get involved and meet others. There is always plenty to do and learn.

Adopt a garden plot for a year $90 or ($60 concession).  You can do this by filling out the Membership form membership form and email to secretary@bcg.garden or print a copy and bring to the BCG on a Tuesday or Saturday morning and we will contact you as soon as possible.  Plot costs are calculated at time of joining and based on the financial year.  Please wait until you have had your information session and tour and a price will be calculated.  Subject to availability.   Now is a great time to get involved.

Run a workshop, sharing your knowledge and wisdom with the community.  We have a range of spaces for hire to run your workshops.  If you are interested in running a workshop especially with the focus on school students after school or during the school holidays please contact the committee.

Hosting a community event we would love to hear from you

If you love the community gardens and the efforts of the volunteers and want to support the good work and help sustain its future, donations are always welcome.

(Any donations over $2 are tax deductible)

The gardens aim to provide a space for recreation and social interaction, a place to encourage and educate the community about sustainable organic gardening, sharing and increasing knowledge in the practices of permaculture.

Take a walk through our gardens and orchard note the rain water tanks, established grey water systems, solar panels, chicken sanctuary, worm farms and composting facilities, the makings of an amazing sustainable environment.

Our gardens are a special place to host community events, promote local art and foster co-operation between other community groups and organisations.  Whilst promoting continual community engagement in establishing a culture of generosity, trust and self-help with the encouragement of community pride.

Act locally and think globally!!

Nestled amongst the community gardens is peppermint cottage, an eco house, that runs off rain water tanks and solar panels and is the home to Pepi Café, serving wholesome nourishing vegetarian food, harvested from their garden plots.
